SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

The TFT ALCO GROUP INC. team is currently looking for DZ Drivers. Drivers will be based at the Toronto division and will be responsible for driving vehicles to provide transportation services. No handling is required (driving only).

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Workplace: On the Road
• Terminal: North York
• Paid Weekly
• Type of position: Part-time and full-time
• Schedule: Day, evening, night, weekend and on call
• Autonomous work environment, in remote contact with the team
• Continued Training available

WHAT YOU’RE GOING TO DO

• Perform an inspection of the vehicle (Circle Check)
• Drive all types of vehicles to the requested place
• Maintain the necessary communication with dispatchers to ensure the smooth running of operations
• Make sure to operate the equipment safely and vigilantly
• Follow the delivery instructions
• Complete all documentation in accordance with the rules of transport
• Working collaboratively with your teammates
• Perform any other related duties

REQUESTED SKILLS AND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Hold a valid driver’s licence – DZ
• Have an excellent driving record
• Be skilled at driving manual or automatic vehicles
• Be 25 years of age and older inclusively (if under 25years of age, must have a diploma from a Road Transport Training Center)
• Have a good knowledge of driving safety rules
• How to anticipate traffic problems in the city
• Managing your driving stress well
• Good command of English, with French as an asset
• Ability to work alone
• Being punctual and able to meet specific deadlines
• Be committed to complying with company policies and regulations
• Have a big concern for customer service
